ASO changes format for golf challenge | News, Sports, Jobs

The Altoona Symphony Orchestra has restructured its “Nine & Dine or Wine Par 3 Golf Challenge.”

The golf challenge will be hosted by Burgi’s Back Nine and Marzoni’s, 1830 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, with the following adjustments:

n Participants may now golf anytime the course is open for business. The final day to golf is Aug. 24.

n The fee remains $30 per person, and you must register a team of two.

n Teammates can golf separately as long as they each turn in their “official scorecard” provided by the ASO.

Registrants will receive one round of golf, a sleeve of three commemorative golf balls, a $10 Marzoni’s gift card, golf club rental and entry into the door prize drawing.

Awards will be offered in the following categories: male team, female team, mixed gender team, overall winner.

Winners will be recognized at the annual Canal Basin Concert at 6 p.m. Aug. 25.

.altoonasymphony.org. Second Chance Scorecards will be available should a team want to boost their score. Simply pay standard greens fees at Burgi’s and request a Second Chance Scorecard from the attendant.
