LISLE — The Streator Bulldogs defeated the Lisle Lions 176-185 on Monday afternoon at River Bend Golf Club to capture the Interstate Eight Conference regular-season title. Aurora Christian (188) also took part in the triangluar.
Grant Mascal carded a 38 to earn medalist honors and lead Streator, which upped its dual-meet record to 12-0 on the season. The Bulldogs’ other scorers were Jacob Magana (43), Cole Holloway (46) and Cooper Wahl (49).
Pirates 7th in Minooka
The Ottawa Pirates shot a team score of 365 to finish seventh out of 12 teams in the Minooka Invitational at Heritage Bluffs Golf Course in Channahon.
Ottawa’s T.J. McDonnell shot an 86 and tied for 15th place individually. Rounding out the top four Pirate scores were Drake Stoudt (91), Caden Ericzon (93) and Nick Angus (95).
Woodland 188, Flanagan-Cornell 245
At Wolf Creek, the Warriors scored the victory led by Tyler Jenkins’ medalist-winning 41. Brad Simpson (48), Christian Miller (49) and Eric Schultz (50) rounded out victorious Woodland’s scorecard.
For F-C, John Trainor’s 55 led the way.
Seneca 190, Sandwich 224
At Edgebrook Golf Course in Sandwich, the Fighting Irish beat the Indians in an Interstate Eight Conference dual meet.
Holden Flynn carded a 45 to earn medalist honors and lead Seneca. Rounding out the top four Fighting Irish scores were Dillion Conroy (48), Austin Marshall (48) and Mark Mehochko (49).
For Sandwich, Dexter Wesson shot a 54, Conner Wilson a 56, and Michael Barbey and Aidan Sullivan 57s.

Seneca def. Reed-Custer 25-21, 25-22
At Braidwood, the Lady Irish defeated the Lady Comets in two sets in a nonconference match.
Hannah Berg pounded out eight kills and Lexi Greve seven to lead the Seneca attack.
Earlville def. Cornerstone Christian 25-1, 25-4
At Earlville, the Raiders beat Sycamore Cornerstone Christian in straight games.
Kylie Koontz pounded out nine kills to lead the Earlville (9-3) attack. Alex Koontz added five kills. Kelsey Chapman fingerpushed 16 assists and served up seven aces.
Midland def. Leland 25-13, 25-9
At rural Varna, the Lady Panthers were beaten in straight games by the Timberwolves in a nonconference match.
Julia Niles had six attacks and Olivia Hallowell four for Leland. Skyler Brue had six digs.
IMSA def. Somonauk 25-16, 25-12
At Aurora, the Lady Bobcats were beaten in straight games by the Titans in a nonconference match.
Grace Gozder had three aces for Somonauk (2-10).

At the SHS courts, the Lady Bulldogs beat the Lady Hubs in a nonconference dual meet.
Posting singles wins for Streator were Yaminia Deleon at No. 1 (6-2, 6-0 over Jasmine Rissman) and Lyndsey Arevalo at No. 2 (6-0, 6-1 over Caitlin McMurray). Notching doubles victories were Lora Berry and Haley Berry at No. 1 (6-4, 6-3 over Ashlynn Leininger and Lila Roush), and Alyssa Heilman and Aleaha Evans at No. 2 (6-3, 7-5 over Josie Lundquist and Melisa Young).

At Mendota, the Lady Pirates blanked the Lady Trojans in a nonconference dual meet.

Streator wins 1 of 3 in own tournament
Streator defeated Woodland (25-21, 25-17) before losing to Pontiac (25-11, 25-11) and Ottawa (25-22, 25-20) during its own tournament on Saturday.
Leaders on the day for Streator were, Anna Hoffmeyer (12 digs, three aces, seven kills), Halie Grace (12 kills, five aces, three blocks), Kristen Lane (six aces, eight kills, nine assists) and Isabel Kaschke (14 assists).
JV football
Marquette 29, Mooseheart 27
At Gould Stadium, Shane Reynolds rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns and Logan Petre 110 and a pair of socres to lead the Marquette (1-2) offense to the win over Mooseheart.
Defensively, Jake Mitchell, Beau Ewers and Reynolds all had four tackles, while Jackson Olson had an interception.

At the SHS courts, Jackie Murphy (No. 1) and Clairie Vogel (No. 2) posted singles wins, while Emilee Castillo and Lucy Zavada (No. 1), Whitney Osland and Daniella Rabaso (No. 2 ), Andrea Chanon and Bri Janke (extra) all notched doubles victories for Streator during its dual-meet win over Rochelle.

At the SHS Athletic Fields, the host Bullpups led early but suffered the loss to slip to 1-3 (0-2).
Bryson Tunget recovered a fumble, while Carlos Portugues scored touchdowns of 3 and 10 yards for Streator. Tyler Luckey added a 2PAT run.

At King Field, the Vikings (0-3, 0-1) were blanked by L-P in their NIB 12 West opener.
