Bronny Jr. has a decent golf swing, even in flip-flops.

LeBron James‘ 14-year-old son, Bronny James, has already established himself as one of the elite youth basketball players in the country. Some in the basketball world believe he could play in the NBA someday, potentially to the play alongside his father, the newest superstar to suit up for the Los Angeles Lakers.
Whether or not the basketball thing works out for the King’s oldest son, Bronny looks like he’s catching the golf bug. Tour ready? Perhaps not. But Bronny posted a video on his Instagram account on Monday of him showing off his golf swing and taking a tee shot.
We’re not sure the ball went 400 yards like Bronny said it did, but it sure looks like got all of it. It’s hard to track where and how far the ball went, or what ball flight he went with, but we’d be happy to set him up on Trackman if given the chance.
It’s also unclear where Bronny is teeing off. Rather than a traditional driving range, he appears to be taking his shot off the side of a cliff along the Pacific Ocean, which is where the ball lands. Not a bad backdrop.
What might be most impressive is his follow through despite the fact that he’s wearing flip flops. We’d recommend some more suitable footwear. But it’s clear that Bronny, like his dad, is a natural athlete.
Unlike his son, LeBron has not shown an interest in playing golf. He hasn’t been known as a golfer or seen out on the golf course during the NBA offseason. But if his son gets more interested in golf, maybe we will see the three-time NBA champion and four-time MVP out on the greens.
Even if LeBron’s son sticks with basketball for his career, golf could be his fallback thing to do on his free time during the offseason. And maybe he could even become the next Stephen Curry, one of his father’s biggest rivals on the court, out on the golf course.
