Kent Island’s Harrison Smith shot an 85 in the first round of the Class 2A/1A state golf tournament on Tuesday at the University of Maryland.
Smith made the cut by a stroke and advanced to Wednesday’s final round, which will begin at 9 a.m.
Kent Island qualified for the state tournament as a team, but was not able to qualify for Wednesday’s final round.
