Vision of Vets, a nonprofit group that produces professional portrait photographs and videos of combat veterans, is hosting its first fundraiser, a Veterans Day Golf Tournament, Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Prescott Golf and Country Club in Dewey.
The event includes full breakfast, opening ceremony, 18 holes of golf with cart, playtime with pro golfers, prizes, banquet dinner, contests and entertainment. A silent auction includes items donated by Toby Keith.
Keynote speakers are Sgt. Jessie Keller, U.S. Air Force, speaking on her experience in Iraq and Afghanistan as leader of an all-female K-9 unit; and Terrie Frankel, former USO performer and one of the Doublemint Twins.
Registration remains open through the day of the event, and can be completed online at visionofvets.org or through the mail to Vision of Vets, 5615 N. Ardmore Ave., Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
Full day event fee is $125. Non-golfers might consider sponsoring a veteran for $125. To attend only the prime rib dinner, speakers and awards ceremony is $50.
