Mini-golf’s main sponsor thanked by Roxbury library friends | Roxbury Register News

ROXBURY TWP. – The Friends of the Roxbury Township Library are publicly thanking local business Fullerton Grounds Maintenance for the firm’s primary sponsorship of this year’s “Mini Golf At The Library” event.

The event is planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.

This year’s event, in fact, is entitled “FGM Mini Golf In The Library” after the Fullerton sponsorship. The company is located on Berkshire Valley Road in the Kenvil section of the township.

The cost is $25 per family, and residents are being urged to reserve tee time now at www.roxburylibrary.org. The fundraiser, the second such event at the library, will raise money to purchase new furniture for the redesigned children’s room.

Last year’s first-time-ever event raised more than $6,000 for the library to purchase new audio and video equipment.

More than 300 kids and their parents tried their luck at miniature golf inside the Roxbury Township Public Library in Succasunna last year. Throughout the daylong event, hundreds came to putt golf balls in set-up golf course throughout the facility, while doing other fun activities, such as arts n’ crafts, story time, music, and hot dogs.

The mini-golf event was a first-time occasion organized by the Friends of the Library and acted as a spring fundraiser. All proceeds last year went toward the purchase for new audio and visual equipment for better quality computer classes. The idea for miniature golf was first brought up by Library Director Radwa Ali, from Butler.

In a statement issued Thursday afternoon, the library staff and friends acknowledged Scott Fullerton and his company for the financial support of the second annual mini-golf event. Fullerton is also a member of the Roxbury Rotary Club. Fullerton also paid for, partially, the fireworks display at Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna last year.

“We want to take a moment to publicly thank our Premier sponsor, Fullerton Grounds Maintenance. We are grateful for their philanthropy and commitment to the Roxbury community. This township is made ever greater by those that give back. Thank you,” the statement reads.

A background on the firm is also provided, and reads:
