FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — Along with those orange traffic cones, another sign of Spring is the city golf courses now opening for the season.
Foster Park is set to open Monday, with Shoaff Park opening Tuesday and McMillen Park on Wednesday.
City courses open at sunrise and close 30 minutes prior to sunset, with weather permitting. To check on course availability, or to schedule tee times, call the golf course where you plan to play.
The city has also hired a new director of golf operations. Chris Jones was the Manager of Golf Operations for Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation during the off-season. He brings experience from several of the top golf facilities in the country.
