Cowgirl Golf Seeking Program’s Seventh Win In Hawaii

WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – The Oklahoma State women’s golf team traveled to the Aloha State to compete this week in the seventh annual Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Waikoloa, Hawaii.

The entire team will participate, as Cowgirls Han-Hsuan Yu, Sara Camarena, Chih-Min Chen, Michelle Forsland and Emma Whitaker will be in the starting lineup, while Faith Hopkins, Lianna Bailey and Stephanie Astrup will be competing as individuals.

The Cowgirls have a history of success competing in Hawaii. The Cowgirls have won six tournaments in Hawaii – all since 1998 – with the most recent coming at the 2015 and 2016 Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.

This will be the first time the Cowgirls compete in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic or the Waikoloa Resort Kings’ Course, which is a 6,099-yard par 72 that features palm trees, ocean views and lava outcroppings.

The Cowgirls will teeing off in a shotgun start on Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Fans can follow the action on golfstat.com.
