BG City Commission votes on the future of The Golf Course at Riverview

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) — Bowling Green’s City Commission voted on the future of The Golf Course at Riverview previously known as Hobson Grove.

After listening to various plans to modify the course from proposals of what kind of grass to how much it would ultimately cost commissioners came to a consensus to revamp the golf course with a unanimous vote of 4-0.

“We made a decision this evening to try something different which is to reconfigure the course so that we don’t have to spend this much money on the maintenance of the course and in addition to that, build a driving range, it is a way to create revenue for the course that we’re currently not seeing,” said City Commissioner Brian “Slim” Nash.

Hobson Grove Golf Course was opened back in 1969.

It was rebranded The Golf Course at Riverview in 2005.
